Carpet Cleaning Technician

Position Overview: As a Carpet Cleaning Technician at Chem Master Restoration, your primary responsibility is to provide exceptional carpet cleaning services to our customers. You will utilize specialized equipment and follow established procedures to ensure thorough cleaning and restoration of carpets. In addition to carpet cleaning, you will be responsible for maintaining equipment and vehicles used in the cleaning process to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Reports to: Operations Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

Carpet Cleaning:

• Perform carpet cleaning services at customer locations, following Chem Master's guidelines and procedures.
• Utilize advanced carpet cleaning equipment, including truck-mounted extraction units, rotary extractors, and spot cleaning tools, to deliver high-quality services.
• Assess carpet conditions and identify specific issues such as stains, odors, or damage that require special attention.
• Apply appropriate cleaning solutions, solvents, and techniques to effectively remove dirt, stains, and contaminants from various carpet types.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries, explaining the cleaning process, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Equipment Maintenance:

• Regularly inspect and maintain all carpet cleaning equipment to ensure proper functioning and optimal performance.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubrication, and filter replacement, as recommended by the manufacturer.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and make necessary repairs or report complex problems to the Operations Manager for resolution.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment storage areas, ensuring that all tools and supplies are accounted for.

Vehicle Maintenance:

• Conduct regular inspections of Chem Master cleaning vehicles, ensuring they are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on vehicles, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and cleaning or replacing filters.
• Report any vehicle issues or damage promptly to the Operations Manager for appropriate action.
• Adhere to all traffic regulations and ensure safe driving practices while operating Chem Master vehicles.

Safety and Compliance:

• Follow established safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, including gloves, goggles, and masks. Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices concerning cleaning chemicals and waste disposal.
• Report any safety concerns or incidents to the Operations Manager immediately.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in carpet cleaning or a related field is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
• Familiarity with carpet cleaning equipment and techniques is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to provide exceptional customer service.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in various environmental conditions.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
